Emmalyn's birth "update"

Emmalyn's medical update:
At birth: She was perfectly healthy when she was born. No problems breathing or anything. She came out crying immediately.

Emmalyn's growth update:
At birth: Emmalyn weighed 7lb 9oz and was 20.75inches long. Her head circumference was 13". She is a lot skinnier and longer than Joey was. She feels more fragile than Joey ever did (not a bad/good thing, just something to comment on). I felt "safer" picking Joey up for some reason. I'm getting used to her though. It's so weird how much you tend to forget about a newborn after you have a toddler!

Emmalyn's clothing size: 
At birth: She would probably fit into some preemie clothing depending on the brand. Mostly newborn though. Definitely newborn for diapers.

Emmalyn's eating update:
At birth: She's a very finicky eater. Once she's latched on, she'll eat for a little bit and then fall asleep. I have to keep waking her up to get her to eat a full feeding. We had a 3 day check up today and she's down to 6lb12oz, and her bilirubin count is 10-11, which is okay, but the doctor wants to see her weight come back up and the bilirubin go down. My milk did just come in last night, so she should be getting more of a full stomach to actually have more wet and poopy diapers to get the jaundice out. She has trouble side-nursing, which is a bummer. Hopefully, she'll learn how to do that when she gets a bit bigger.

Emmalyn's sleeping update:
At birth: She sleeps a lot. She likes to go to sleep when it's time to eat haha. She does get up during the night though, which is totally fine, since that is what most babies do. If she's in bed with us, she'd probably sleep longer.

Emmalyn's new developments update:
Nothing yet. Jonathan thinks she will roll over earlier than Joey did.

Emmalyn's Likes:
Hard to tell right now. She LOVES her Daddy. Anytime he changes her, she's totally quiet, and anytime I change her, she usually cries haha. She likes the mirror that's on her changing station in our room!

Emmalyn's Dislikes:
Being naked, being unwrapped, being cold, pretty much anything a newborn dislikes, and then some.
